Woodlawn permit value hits $4.3M on fewer projects
Woodlawn logged 26 permits in August, down from 30 in July, but their total value jumped 43 percent to $4.3 million. Eighteen were express permits; five covered new construction. Service requests dropped 37 percent to 766, led by tree-trim requests (73) and tree debris cleanup (62). Rodent complaints hit 42. Violent crime rose 10 percent to 134 incidents, while overall crime fell 8 percent to 345. Two restaurants failed inspections, up from one the month before.
