West Pullman crime falls 43% in April
West Pullman logged 149 crimes in April, down 43% from 260 the month before. Violent offenses fell 40%, from 91 to 55. Permit value dropped 79% to $301k, even as the neighborhood added five new business licenses—Pearl's Place Cafe, The Spot Social Hour, Panaderia Dulce Ilusion, and two for Visions Odeum and Events. Service requests ticked up 4.5% to 1,195, led by 122 tree-trim calls (a category no longer accepted) and 93 garbage-cart issues. Fourteen of 16 permits came through the express program.
