Washington Heights permit value doubles to $1.3M
Eighteen permits pulled $1.3 million in declared work for Washington Heights in February, more than double January's $625k despite two fewer permits overall. A dozen express permits led the mix, followed by five renovation jobs. No new business licenses appeared. Residents called in 687 service requests—down 20% from the previous month—with potholes (68 calls) topping the list. Crime dropped about 10%, including a small dip in violent incidents. Two food establishments failed inspections, same as January.
