Permit value in Washington Heights more than doubled in June, hitting $1.17 million despite 26 permits issued — 12 fewer than May. Most were express permits (18), with seven renovation jobs rounding out the bulk of the work. Service requests dropped by a third, though Garbage Cart Maintenance still led with 111 calls. Violent crime ticked up 17%, from 77 incidents to 90. One food inspection failed, down from four the month before.
