South Lawndale permit value drops by half
Permit value in South Lawndale fell 47% in November, from $3.3 million to $1.7 million, even as the number of permits ticked up slightly from 35 to 38. Most of the month's activity came through the express permit program, which accounted for 26 of those 38 permits. Five sign permits and four renovation jobs made up the bulk of the rest. No new businesses opened and no 311 requests were logged.
