Permit spending in Rogers Park jumped to $6.6 million in April, up from $1.5 million the month before. The 25 permits included a dozen express permits and eight renovation projects. New businesses dropped to ten—among them Jet's Pizza, Bestow Vape and Smoke, and Weird Mementos Tattoo and Piercing. Crime fell 39 percent, with violent offenses down from 89 to 60. Residents filed 176 pothole complaints and 114 graffiti removal requests. Two food establishments failed inspections.
