Permit value in Rogers Park nearly doubled in March, jumping 94% to $1.54 million on just 20 permits. Fourteen of those were express filings. Service requests spiked 57% to 1,334—140 tree-trim requests led the way, followed by 119 graffiti complaints. New licenses went to Ta'Da Laundry Co., Rogers Park Wine & Spirits, and X Y Nails, among others. Crime dipped 7.5% to 248 incidents, with violent offenses down slightly from 93 to 89. No food inspection failures this month, versus one in February.
