Rogers Park pulled 28 permits in October, three fewer than September, but their combined value climbed 9% to $1.34 million. Twenty-two of those permits came through the express program. Graffiti removal requests led 311 calls with 87, followed by 69 rat complaints. Crime dropped across the board: total incidents fell 11% to 285, and violent crime was down 22% to 84. One restaurant failed inspection, half the previous month's count. No new businesses registered.
