Pullman permit value rockets to $1.5M in August
Pullman logged $1.5 million in permit value during August, up from $68,000 the month before—a 2,100% jump. Twenty-one permits came through, more than double July's eight, with ten under the city's express program and six for signs. No new businesses opened or closed. Service requests dropped 17% to 266, led by tree debris cleanup (28 calls) and garbage cart issues (20). Crime fell 24% to 75 incidents; violent offenses dropped 40% to 18. Whatever projects drove the spike in permit dollars, they weren't tied to new storefronts.
