O'Hare permit value soars to $56M
O'Hare's building permit value shot up 1,958 percent in November, reaching $56.4 million on just 19 permits—five fewer than October. Seventeen were express permits. Aircraft noise complaints dominated 311 calls, with 32,076 logged, though total service requests dropped 18 percent. Crime fell sharply: 102 incidents, down 30 percent, including 21 violent offenses. No new businesses opened or closed. Two food establishments failed inspections, down from five.
