O'Hare's permit value shot up nearly 2,000% to $2.6 million in July, though the number of permits actually dropped from 25 to 17. Most were express permits—13 of the 17 total. Aircraft noise complaints dominated the 311 line with 29,270 calls, roughly 99% of all service requests. Crime edged up slightly, 151 incidents versus 142 the month before. Six food establishments failed inspections, compared to zero in June.
