O'Hare permits fall to seven, violent crime climbs to 30
O'Hare saw just seven permits in February, down from 30 the month before. Permit value dropped a third, from $1.1 million to $739k. Six permits were express; one was a renovation. Aircraft noise complaints still owned the 311 board — 20,931 of them. Violent crime rose from 21 incidents to 30, a 43% jump. Overall crime hit 126 cases, up from 107. No businesses opened or closed.
