Aircraft noise calls top 28,700 in O'Hare
O'Hare logged 28,769 aircraft noise complaints in December, accounting for nearly all of the neighborhood's 28,944 service requests—up 11% from November. Permits fell to seven (all from the express program), worth about $91k, less than half November's dollar volume. Crime reports rose 22%, reaching 122 incidents; violent offenses edged up slightly to 28. Food inspection failures jumped to four from one the month prior.
