Construction permits in O'Hare totaled $750k in September, nearly double August's $391k, though permit count slipped from 14 to 13. Eleven of those were express permits. Aircraft noise complaints accounted for 26,388 of the month's 26,609 311 requests—down 17% from August but still the neighborhood's dominant issue. Crime fell 16% to 131 incidents; violent offenses dropped 27% to 24. Two food establishments failed inspections, up from zero the prior month.
