O'Hare permit value jumps to $3.2 million
Permits climbed from 5 to 38, driven by $3.2 million in approved work—up from $3,000 the month prior. Thirty-five of those permits came through the express program. Aircraft noise complaints topped 33,000, accounting for nearly all of the neighborhood's 311 volume. Crime fell 17 percent to 119 incidents. Violent crime ticked up by one, from 29 to 30. Two food establishments failed inspection.
