Oakland permit work drops 75% to $62k
Oakland pulled three permits in October—same count as September—but their combined value cratered from $246k to $62k. Two were renovation jobs, one an express permit. Violent crime climbed 35% to 27 incidents, though the base numbers are small enough that a handful of cases move the needle.
