Oakland permits jump to $95k, mostly express work
Oakland logged eight permits in June worth $95,000 combined, up from just two permits and $27,000 the month before. Five of those were express permits; three were new construction. Service requests dropped 27%, from 188 to 137. Potholes led the list with nine complaints, followed by eight abandoned vehicle reports. Crime fell 16% overall (63 incidents versus 75), with violent offenses down from 30 to 26. No new business licenses, no closures, no failed food inspections.
