North Park's violent crime count hit 24 in February, nearly double January's 13. Total crime stayed flat at 65 incidents. Nine businesses opened, including Java N Mug and Saigon Pho. Permit value fell 71% to $226k from $790k, with express permits accounting for five of the six issued. Service requests dropped a third to 370, led by 69 pothole complaints. Four food establishments failed inspections after a clean January.
