North Park permit value crashes 90% to $567k
North Park's building permit value fell from $5.6 million in May to $567,000 in June, a drop of nearly 90%. The neighborhood issued 14 permits, down from 18, with 11 of those through the express program. No new businesses opened or closed. Residents filed 521 service requests, a 23% decline led by rat complaints (49) and broken traffic signals (48). Violent crime ticked up 18% to 26 incidents, even as overall crime fell to 69 cases.
