North Lawndale pulled 63 permits in June, more than double May's 30. New construction led the way with 29 permits, followed by 23 through the city's express program. Despite the jump in volume, total permit value dropped by half to $9.4 million from the previous month's $18.7 million. No new business licenses showed up in the data for June.
