New City violent crime up 13%, food fails nearly double
Violent crime in New City rose to 120 incidents in December, up from 106 the month before. Food inspection failures jumped from 5 to 9. Permits climbed to 27, mostly express jobs, with total construction value reaching $2.1 million. Service requests dipped slightly to 988, led by graffiti removal (103 calls) and abandoned vehicles (96). Snow removal requests—both dibs and ice—drew 170 combined complaints. No new businesses opened or closed.
