New City permit value drops 65% to $1.95 million
Permit value in New City fell from $5.7 million in October to just under $2 million in November, a 65% drop. The number of permits also slid from 32 to 22. Most were express permits (14) or small renovations. Graffiti removal requests led 311 calls with 159, followed by 88 each for garbage cart fixes and abandoned vehicle complaints. Crime ticked down 5%, with 261 incidents. Five food establishments failed inspections, down from seven the month before. No new businesses opened or closed.
