New City permits drop to 44, value holds at $4.1M
New City pulled 44 permits in May, down from 52 the month before, but total value stayed flat at roughly $4.1 million. Nearly two-thirds of the permits—29 of them—came through the city's express program, which handles smaller jobs. Nine renovation projects and six new construction permits rounded out the activity. No new businesses opened, none closed, and 311 requests weren't tracked this month.
