New City permit activity triples on express work
New City logged 24 permits in May, up from 7 the month before. Sixteen were express permits—quick-turnaround jobs that don't need full plan review. Total permitted work came to $1.6 million, a 49% jump from April's $1.1 million. Six renovation permits and one demolition rounded out the month. No new business licenses were issued.
