Fewer permits went out in Morgan Park this July—31 versus 39 the month before—but total value jumped to $1.17 million, up from $861k. Most of the 31 were express permits. Crime ticked up 24%, to 190 incidents, though violent offenses fell 12% to 44. Residents filed 1,031 service requests, a small bump from June's 1,000. Tree debris cleanups led the list with 122 calls, followed by 105 for garbage cart fixes. Two food establishments didn't pass inspection, double last month's one fail.
