Montclare permit value jumps to $355k on half the volume
Montclare issued four permits in July, down from eight the month prior, but their total value spiked 319% to $355,200. Three of those permits were for signs. Crime reports rose 45%, from 51 to 74 incidents, with violent offenses up slightly from 20 to 22. Residents filed 43 pothole complaints, the most common 311 request, followed by 38 for garbage cart maintenance. No new businesses opened or closed.
