McKinley Park issued 18 new business licenses in May, double April's count. New arrivals included a Chipotle, a tavern called One City Tap, and Filbert's Root Beer wholesale operation. Permit count rose 22% to 11, though total dollar value dropped 23% to $787k. Residents filed 595 service requests, down 14% from the prior month. Graffiti removal led the list with 187 calls, followed by 40 pothole complaints. Violent crime ticked up 19% to 19 incidents, while overall crime held nearly flat at 67.
