Loop permit value hits $199M despite fewer filings
The Loop issued 171 permits in December, down 19% from November's 211, but their combined value jumped to $199 million—nearly quadruple the prior month's $53 million. Express permits made up 98 of the filings, with another 39 for renovation or alteration work. The spike points to at least one big-ticket project entering the pipeline, though the data doesn't break out individual permit values.
