Lincoln Square issued 44 permits in September, up slightly from 41 the month before, but total construction value fell from $7 million to $3.1 million. Express permits led the way with 23, followed by 11 renovation or alteration jobs. No new business licenses were recorded. Crime ticked up 7%, with violent offenses rising from 43 to 46. Rodent complaints and graffiti removal requests tied for the most common 311 calls at 86 each. Six food establishments failed inspections, down from seven.
