Kenwood · 2024-11

Kenwood permit value rockets to $4.4M on renovation work

Fourteen permits pulled in November totaled $4.4 million, up more than twelvefold from October's $333k. Ten of those were renovation or alteration jobs. No new businesses opened or closed. Service requests held nearly flat at 278, down just three from the month prior. The top complaint? Tree trim requests, which the city no longer accepts but which still drew 56 calls. Reported crime fell 19 percent to 178 incidents, though violent offenses ticked up from 48 to 57. One food establishment failed inspection.
