Crime in Jefferson Park fell from 79 incidents to 43 in April, with violent offenses down from 17 to seven. Eight businesses opened, led by Habetler Bowl Inc, which picked up licenses for food service, amusement, and on-premises consumption. Permits dropped from 17 to 11, but their total value rose 20 percent to $686k—most of it express permits. Residents filed 1,272 service requests, up 38 percent from March.
