Eleven permits totaled $1.35 million in January, more than double December's $619k, even as permit filings slipped from 14 to 11. The eight express permits and two renovation jobs drove the value jump. Service requests climbed 36% to 840, led by 113 shared-cost sidewalk applications and 113 tree-trim requests (a category the city no longer accepts). Crime dropped 26% to 62 incidents; violent offenses fell from 21 to 16. One restaurant failed inspection.
