Fifty building permits worth $4.1 million cleared in May, ten times April's dollar figure. Most of that came through fast-track express permits—36 of the 50—plus ten renovation jobs and three new construction projects. The 311 system logged 2,052 service requests, up 8%, with graffiti removal (167 calls) edging out tree debris cleanup (161). Violent crime dipped slightly to 59 incidents from 64. Food inspection failures dropped from five to two.
