Permit value in Humboldt Park more than doubled in July, hitting $5.6 million despite nine fewer permits issued than the month before. Twenty of the 48 permits came through the city's express program. New construction accounted for eight permits, with renovation work and signage tied at nine apiece. One demolition permit rounded out the activity.
