Hermosa violent crime up 37%, potholes lead 311 calls
Violent crime in Hermosa jumped from 19 incidents in February to 26 in March. Overall crime rose 15% to 75 cases. Residents filed 588 service requests, a 16% increase, with pothole complaints topping the list at 67. Abandoned vehicles (53) and graffiti removal (45) also drew attention. Permits climbed to 16, split evenly between express permits and sign work. Food inspection failures dropped from six to zero.
