Hermosa permit value drops 21% to $171k
Hermosa saw 11 permits issued in February, one more than January, but the combined value fell 21% to roughly $171,000. Seven were express permits, three for signage. No new businesses opened or closed during the month. Service requests dropped 13%, led by 120 graffiti removal calls—still the neighborhood's most common complaint. Crime fell 23%, with 65 incidents reported, down from 84 the month prior. Violent offenses dipped slightly to 19. Six food establishments failed inspections, up from zero in January.
