Grand Boulevard logged $6.5 million in construction permits in December, up 49% from November despite two fewer permits issued. Express permits led the count with 11, trailed by four each for renovation and new construction. Service requests dropped 19% to 455, with tree-trim requests—88 of them for a service no longer accepted—still topping the list. Street lights out and abandoned vehicles rounded out the common complaints. Violent crime fell 16% to 87 incidents while overall crime held flat at 304. No businesses opened or closed.
