Permits in Gage Park spiked to $4.4 million in March, up from $455k the month before. The 20 permits issued included 17 under the express program, plus one new construction job. Service requests climbed 19 percent to 1,081, led by 217 graffiti removal calls. Violent crime rose sharply to 61 incidents, up from 36. Food inspection failures doubled from two to four.
