Englewood's 21 building permits in February carried a combined value of $6 million, up from $938k the month before—a 543% leap on the same volume of applications. Twelve permits came through the city's express program. A new limited business license went to Calahan Funeral Home. Service requests ticked up 7% to 597, led by garbage cart calls and building violations. Crime reports surged 52% to 300, with violent incidents up 54% to 122. Five food establishments failed inspections after zero failures in January.
