Englewood permit value drops 68% despite more filings
Englewood issued 30 permits in June, up from 25 the month before, but total construction value cratered from $3.2 million to just over $1 million. Twenty of those permits were express—quick stuff, typically low-dollar work. Weed removal topped the 311 list with 97 requests, followed by 84 building violations. Crime rose 13% to 509 incidents, though violent offenses actually fell 10% to 190. Two food establishments failed inspection, after none the previous month. No new businesses opened or closed.
