Edgewater permit value drops 93% after July spike
Edgewater issued 43 permits in August, up 13% from July, but total value crashed to $1.4 million from $21 million the month before—a one-time project clearly rolled off. Most permits were express-program jobs (28 of 43). Crime fell 17%, with 229 incidents reported. Service requests rose 11% to 1,320, led by 140 graffiti removal calls and 88 tree trim requests. Violent crime ticked up slightly to 65 cases. Four food establishments failed inspections, same as July.
