Edgewater pulled 24 permits in February, down 23% from January, but their combined value hit $8.9 million—a 157% spike that suggests one or two big jobs. Express permits led the count at 12, followed by eight renovation/alteration permits. On the 311 side, requests climbed 9% to 960, with 147 calls about tree trimming (a category the city no longer accepts) and 129 pothole complaints. Crime dipped slightly to 260 incidents, though violent offenses ticked up from 69 to 76. Six food establishments failed inspections, down from seven.
