East Side crime reports climb to 131 in March
East Side saw 131 crime reports in March, up 60% from 82 the month before. Violent offenses dropped 20% to 24. The neighborhood fielded 740 service requests, up 31%—130 of them tree-trim calls, a category the city no longer accepts. Eighteen permits cleared, mostly express work, but their combined value fell to $505k from $1.5 million in February. No businesses opened or closed.
