Douglas logs $1.99M in permits, adds Jewel and Napleton dealership
Douglas pulled ten permits in March totaling $1.99 million, up from $512k the month before. Two were for new construction. Seven businesses opened, including Jewel Food Store #4043, Napleton Downtown Chevrolet, and Akanna Wellness. Residents filed 294 service requests—39 for tree trimming, even though the city no longer accepts that category, and 28 for broken traffic signals. Crime fell 12%, but violent offenses rose 21%, from 57 to 69. Two restaurants failed health inspections.
