Douglas logs $10.9 million in permits
Douglas pulled 16 permits worth $10.9 million in March, more than double February's $4.2 million. Eight went through the express program. Another four covered renovations, three new construction. Service requests jumped 70 percent to 370, driven by 148 tree-trim tickets—a category the city no longer accepts but still logs. Abandoned vehicles drew 28 complaints. Crime held nearly flat at 206 reports, down three from February, though violent incidents rose from 64 to 68. Five food spots failed inspections.
