Douglas permit value jumps to $3.5M despite fewer filings
Douglas pulled five permits in December—down sharply from 17 the month before—but their combined value nearly doubled to $3.5 million. Four were express permits. The neighborhood added six businesses, including Siri Indian Groceries and 35 Beauty Supply. Service requests dropped 13 percent to 169, led by traffic signal complaints. Reported crime rose slightly (221 incidents, up from 207), with violent offenses up 13 percent to 78. One food establishment failed inspection.
