Clearing permit value drops 8% despite 20% jump in count
Clearing issued 24 permits in July, up from 20 the month before, but their combined value fell 8% to $626k. Twenty permits came through the city's express program, which handles smaller jobs. Three renovation permits and one elevator permit made up the rest. No new business licenses or closures appeared on record.
