Violent crime up 62% in Clearing
Clearing's violent crime count jumped from 24 to 39 in April, a 62% increase that outpaced the modest 6% rise in overall crime (88 incidents). Permit activity fell sharply: 15 permits totaling $261k, down from 22 permits and $510k the month before. Almost all were express permits.
