Clearing permits triple but dollar value drops 69%
Clearing issued 22 permits in March, up from 6 the month before, but total construction value fell to $510k from $1.7 million—a 69% drop. Twenty-one of those permits came through the express program. Violent crime jumped 41%, from 17 incidents to 24. Potholes led the 311 load with 69 complaints, followed by 52 rat calls and 50 abandoned vehicle reports. Two food establishments failed inspection, double February's count. No new businesses opened or closed.
