Permit value in Chicago Lawn fell to $186,381 in February, down two-thirds from January's $566,040, even though the number of permits stayed nearly flat at 17. Most of those were express permits. Crime dropped 19% to 319 incidents; violent offenses ticked down slightly to 112. Service requests rose 3% to 1,715, led by 412 calls for tree trimming—a category the city no longer accepts. Food inspection failures went from two to three.
